Taiwo & Elizabeth’s Surprise Shoreditch Proposal – London Engagement Photography. On November 9th, I had the absolute joy of photographing Taiwo and Elizabeth’s surprise wedding proposal in Shoreditch—an unforgettable moment and a perfect example of romantic London engagement photography.
The proposal took place in a private flat, lovingly decorated by the couple’s friends ahead of Elizabeth’s arrival. The space was filled with soft lighting, candles, and delicate flower arrangements that reflected the warm and personal energy of the moment. Everyone played a role in the surprise—setting up the scene, keeping Elizabeth unaware, and even cueing a special song chosen by Taiwo to play just as they entered the room. It is always very lovely to me to photograph young people that is in love.
As soon as they walked in, you could feel the anticipation build. When Elizabeth realised what was happening, her face lit up with emotion. It was a heartfelt, intimate proposal—full of love, joy, and quiet meaning. These moments are so personal, and they’re exactly why I love doing proposal photography in London.
