If you are planning a wedding in London and you have not yet considered Old Marylebone Town Hall, let me tell you why it should be at the top of your list. I have photographed weddings here many times and it remains one of my absolute favourites in the city. The light inside is beautiful, the staff are genuinely warm and helpful, and those steps outside always make for great Marylebone Town Hall wedding photography. The building sits right in the heart of Marylebone, surrounded by beautiful architecture and one of the most vibrant and elegant areas of the city. Walking around the neighbourhood after the ceremony is honestly one of the nicest experiences a couple can have on their wedding day.
The Most Famous Wedding Venue in London
There is something really special about getting married in a place with this much history behind it. Paul McCartney married here twice. Ringo Starr, Liam Gallagher, Ronnie Wood, Antonio Banderas. And in 2026, Dua Lipa walked up those same steps in a custom Schiaparelli suit, paying homage to Bianca Jagger’s iconic 1971 look. Moreover, when a venue keeps attracting people like that across five decades, it tells you everything you need to know about the place.
The Seven Ceremony Rooms
One of the things I love most about this venue is the variety. Additionally, there are seven ceremony rooms, each with its own completely different feel. The Westminster Room is the grandest, with dark wood panelling and space for up to 100 guests. The Soho Room has a relaxed, almost living-room quality with velvet sofas for up to 20. The Marylebone Room is intimate and dramatic with space for just 12. Whatever size your celebration, there is a room here that feels right for you.
Marylebone Town Hall Wedding Photography – Why I Love Shooting Here
Every room has its own character and light, which means no two weddings here ever look quite the same. Furthermore, the columns and the stonework outside create a backdrop that never gets old. But what I keep coming back to is that moment when the couple walks out of the building after the ceremony. The steps, the columns, the Marylebone street behind them. It is one of those shots that always works, and it looks like nowhere else in London.
A Real Wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall
I have had the joy of photographing weddings here on several occasions, and every single time the day delivers something genuinely beautiful. If you would like to see what a wedding here looks like through my lens, you can see a real wedding at this venue here.
